About DataCue
DataCue started with a simple problem close to home.
It began as a way to make one person’s social media work easier. The goal now is to make that same work easier and more affordable for small businesses.
Where it began
Built from one person’s real workflow.
I originally built DataCue as a concept for my wife. Her work required managing and publishing social media content across multiple platforms, and she had experience with tools such as Sprout Social and Hootsuite. They could do the job, but the cost was difficult to justify for what we needed.
So I started building something that could make her work easier: one place to organize social accounts, create and publish content, and see how that content was performing.
As the idea developed, the question became bigger: could this become something useful for small businesses too?
Why it matters
Capability without an enterprise software budget.
Many small businesses need the same capabilities larger marketing teams have, but they do not necessarily have an enterprise software budget or a dedicated social media department. The people doing the work may be managing several social accounts, locations, brands, or clients themselves.
DataCue is being built for those businesses and the people managing their social presence. The aim is one workspace for planning and publishing content, understanding performance, and managing multiple accounts and brands.
DataCue can connect to Google Business Profile to discover and select the business locations available to a workspace. Google posts, reviews, performance synchronization, and live profile editing are not presented as current capabilities.
The goal
One workspace for the work that matters.
DataCue started as a way to make one person’s job easier. The goal now is to make that same kind of work easier and more affordable for businesses that do not need—or want—to pay for enterprise software.
